Beautiful copy of Action Comics #21. Spine split, paper in good condition, pages creamy to off white, staples shiny like new. Dry cleaned back cover and whites of front cover using dry erasure removing heavy soiling particularly at spine of back cover. Carefully humidified and pressed out 2 halves of comic book cover. Reinforced spine from interior with Japanese tissue for structural support. Small tears mended along margins. Removed spine roll and re-assembled cover onto interior using original staples. Book pressed intact, looking like new again

Square bound with heavy rippling along top edge of front and back cover. Slight warps and dents elsewhere. Soiling on back cover, light dry cleaning using erasures in white areas. Gentle humidification to relax covers, cold pressing, then some very light heat press. Slight rippling remained since I did not want to pancake the cover. Beautiful color and gloss!

Wow this was a tricky one...very warped and cockled. Needed to be extra careful manipulating cover and interior pages so that all could rest flat. Extra pressure would crush this book so repeated slight humidification did the trick and very little heat. Not a bad grade for sure!

Great candidate for my conservation services. Kept it simple and structural via client's request. Front cover split at 1/3rd off the bottom. Spine almost de-tached, hanging on in a couple of places. Needed to clean, press cover very carefully under humidification to relax all folds and small flaps so that paper could be prepared for mending. Spine mended using thin Japanese tissue and archival adhesive for structural support. Edge tears mended using heat set tissue which imbues itself onto the interior of cover. Large tear across cover mended using stronger Japanese tissue and archival adhesive to sustain hold and prevent any warping. Interior pages very warped and creased at top right edge. Paper was a bit dry and fragile so once each page was indivicually pressed and spine roll removed, interior was de-acidified so that acid deterioration will now be at rest. NO COLOR TOUCH on cover. Restored cover re-assembled using original staples and book pressed intact. Beautiful artwork, beautiful colors, stable, secure, happy for retirement!

Some nice DC Flashes...with those nasty spine dents and creases. See the results yourself! Very rewarding and lovely books.
